Don't know if it beats it, but since I just signed up last week, it's my best card by default since it's the only one I've won. A dual NBA jersey card of Andre Iguodala and Gilbert Arenas, two All-Stars, for 254 credits.
I almost bid more on the Arenas dual, so I'm glad a blogger won it!
My "best" just came in the mail - Tom Brady 2000 Quantum Leaf RC. It cost a pretty penny (9,550 credits) and it's kind of beat up (the back is nice but the front has some weird scratches that almost looked like card design at first but very much are not haha), but it's also a rookie card of one of the best QB's of all time and one of my all time favorite football players. So I'm very happy with it!
WHAT????!!!!! Oh my goodness. I paid more than that for a Sean O'Sullivan sparkly card. For the "value" ratio on that one (worth/credits), I think you just took the lead. Do you have a picture/scan of that card?
Yeah, I can take a pic sometime. It was a very poor Listia listing, which is why I got a great deal. No picture was shown on the listing, as well as no shipping terms were listed. I asked if she could ship to Canada for free and said yes. To my surprise Nobody else bid! It came in the mail shortly thereafter.
I can beat it (although it depends on your perspective). Details when I get around to it.
ReplyDeleteDon't leave us hangin'!!! :-)

Wow! That is a great deal. Most jersey cards I have seen go for 1000+, so that is an excellent grab.
DeleteThanks for reading the blog!
Here is mine. It was something like 700 credits.

This one was pretty good too:

Those are two great pickups, AdamE. It amazes me the deals that are still out there. Good luck finding some more of them! ;-)

Nicely done! I think that might be one of my next moves (selling a bunch of cards to accumulate credits, then getting something really expensive).
DeleteDid you post that to your blog yet?
Not yet, gonna soon though!
DeleteHows this for value?
